Payments Innovation Jury
Founded in 2008 and organised by John Chaplin, the Payments Innovation Jury exists because senior industry executives are prepared to give their time to thinking through and setting out their views on many complex issues determining how payments innovation happens.
John Chaplin is involved in retail payments in many areas of the world. He is involved in private equity investing in fintech and payments in Africa & Middle East where he sits on a number of boards including Interswitch in Nigeria. John is Chairman of Global Processing Services, the UK issuer processor serving clients in multiple regions and a Board Director of Sentential the Irish based processor of open banking transactions. Using his experience of domestic interbank processing from successful careers at Visa and First Data, John has advised payment schemes and switches in markets as diverse as Australia, India and Vietnam. He also advises a number of central banks on payments regulation.
